I entered a contest

Trish told me about a contest Treasures To Scrap was having in the month of July. Of course it sounded great, and a lot of fun ... but not for me. Too much has been going on in my life to buckle down and enter a contest ... especially since I haven't scrapped anything since March of 2005!!!
The more I thought about it, the more excited I got ... the more I thought that maybe it's what I needed to get back in the swing of things.

So I did it, I signed up ... wish me luck!

The doctor hunt

What doctor hunt?
Of course being the procrastinator I am, I haven't made one phone call to find a new psychiatrist. Nor have I called to make an appointment with my therapist. I have got to be the queen at putting things off!! (Not the best thing to be queen of either!)

Bart's insurance kicks in July first, so one would think I'd have an appointment for the beginning of July! I don't even know what doctors are covered, nor have I bothered to ask.

So that's on my agenda, to get a list and tackle it! And get an appointment with Barbara, lord knows I need counseled! Especially since I haven't been sleeping, and my anxiety is through the roof! I need to get out of this slump!

Night Terrors

My new thing ... night terrors! Leave it to me to acquire such a fun new thing to do at night!!

Bart woke me up last night and told me I was screaming. This morning he said I woke him up 4 times screaming last night, and every time he would come in and check on me (I was on the couch), and he said I was sound asleep. About 10 - 15 minutes after he checked on me the last time, he was woken up by a "blood curdling scream", and he ran into the living room expecting someone to be in there attacking me ... but instead there I am, sound asleep!

Lovely thing these night terrors ... they happen in your deepest part of sleep so you don't remember anything. I guess it's kind of good not to remember what makes you scream bloody murder, but it would be nice to know so it could be fixed.

When my mom was here we slept in the same room and she said I yelled out in the night a few times and mumbled a lot. I would never remember anything when she would tell me about it the next day. I guess now I know why I've been waking up drenched in sweat!!

UGH!

Dr. Apointment

Today was my doctor appointment to follow up my ER visit. Of course I didn't mention my trip to the ER to her, I wanted in and out of there quickly. She once again told me she's not comfortable managing my medication and I needed to get a psychiatrist as soon as possible. I understand her completely, I'd much rather have a psychiatrist managing me! So I'll start calling to find one ... again! Hopefully this time with more success!

I was extremely embarrassed when I was paying my co-pay because I gave the receptionist my flex spending card to pay my $15 and it got declined!!! I wasn't thinking at all ... umm, no job, no insurance, no flex spending ... duh!! Now I am waiting for a letter from the doctors office when they find out my insurance has run out! It's just never ending! I was told someone would contact me regarding COBRA insurance, but I haven't heard. I guess I'm going to have to follow up on that myself because I can't afford not having insurance! Not counting how much that Dr. visit will cost (they drew blood too, so I'll have lab fees), my medications alone are pushing $500!! That's just a month supply!!! (She wrote for two months) I haven't gone to Target to pick up my meds because I'm dreading draining my checking account to get them! I know the alternative of not taking my meds the past couple days isn't good either! I'll get reimbursed for everything once I get COBRA, but still! Thankfully next month, Bart's new insurance will start and I won't have to worry about all this anymore!!!

The new place

What can I say? I'm here. Since Bart has lived here two months, all my stuff coming in kind of made the place a mess ... which isn't something a neat freak likes! How can things not be a mess when you're moving?? You can't really not have boxes to unpack, etc.

A lot of my things went into the storage that's two doors down, which is fine ... I know everything from the townhouse won't fit in the apartment. What is driving me crazy is the fact that there are things I need from storage to make kits, etc for my store. Okay ... maybe that shouldn't be a big priority right now but it would give me something to do! Most of what is in here is unpacked, and what isn't is all scrapbook stuff. I'm waiting to unpack that once everything else is in it's place. So ... where does that leave me??

I'm not a big TV person, so I don't really like spending my evenings watching TV. There is only so much a person can do on the computer. Last night I took Socrates for a long walk to pass the time, but tonight it's raining. So here I am ... stuck! I hate it!! I'm about ready to cry!!! I feel like I'm missing out on things because half of my life is locked up in storage. Stupid??

The movers are here

The movers are here and they are quickly taking all the boxes and packing them in the truck. My mom and I got almost everything packed, but there is still some things here and there that needs put in boxes. I'm wondering how it's all going to fit into the apartment! Going from a townhouse to an apartment isn't an easy task!!

I'm sitting outside on the deck because I'm having horrible back spasms and can't really do anything without irritating it. So here I am ... helpless. Luckily it's a beautiful day (except the sun is hiding behind the dark clouds. The temperature is perfect, it's barely 70 ... it does look like rain, but hopefully it doesn't rain.

Mom and Dad got here yesterday and we packed up the kitchen and took the kitchen and bedroom stuff over and unpacked it. Okay, my mom unpacked most of it while I took a nap. They brought Bryce, he spent the hot day at my sisters swimming in the pool! (Lucky him!) Nicholas has a double header today, and Bryce is really looking forward to seeing him play baseball. After the first game, my parents and Bryce are heading home. Hopefully I'll get to see Bryce before they go.

It's rather depressing sitting out here knowing it's one of the last time's I'll be sitting here. There's so many memories here!!! I really wish I hadn't jumped the gun a few months ago. I'm really going to miss living here. Last night Mike and I talked, I'm going to miss having him next door. It's not often you have such a great neighbor!!!

I hope things start looking up ...

Packing

Pack, pack, pack ... that seems to be all I've been doing lately. Packing or complaining about how much packing I have to do. Thankfully my m, om packed most of it when she was here; otherwise I wouldn't know what to do!! I've been tackling the basement ... talk about overwhelming!!! My basement is where my scrapbook room is ... well, my basement IS my scrapbook room (minus Bart's office). It has needed cleaned and organized for a long time, so you can only imagine how packing is!! I've been trying to organize as I pack rather than just throwing it all in boxes. Let me tell you, that's a task in itself!!
Last night I was thinking about everything I had packed and patting myself on the back. Then I went down to do some more only to see that you really couldn't tell I had done anything!!! I still couldn't see much carpet or table tops! I have boxes for friends, a box or two for eBay, it's just WAY too much stuff!!

My parents will be here any minute to help. Then tomorrow I have movers coming to haul it and move it! I will be SO happy to get this over with ... I hate moving! And to think in a year or so I have to do it all again!!!

What in your lifetime has only happened once?

I just finished reading Tunealecious' (like your new name?) blog. She had a list of seven things that have happened only once in her lifetime ... so, I thought I'd do the same. :) She got the idea from the blog challenge at ...........

So, here we go ...
  1. I graduated from high school.
  2. I graduated from college. (I hope to do that one again some day though.)
  3. I became an aunt. (Yes, I an aunt to more than one little ... or not so little ... one out there, but becoming an aunt for the first time was a first.)
  4. I lived in a different house than the one I grew up in. (Okay, this might not seem like a big thing to most of you, but to me ... HUGE! I lived in the same house until I moved out and to Maryland when I was 21. Soon after I moved, so did my parents. They didn't move far, but still ... earth shattering event for me.)
  5. I was president of my respiratory class, and had to give a speech (which kicked butt I might add) at our pinning ceremony.
  6. I got my drivers licence. (I hope I never have to do that again!)
  7. I passed my boards after graduating college. (Torturous, I REALLY hope I never have to do that again!)
  8. I got a tattoo. (Yes I have more than one, but nobody forgets the first.)
  9. I got my tongue pierced.

Jeepers, that wasn't as easy as it sounded! I really had to think on that one. And you might notice, I had to do more than Dawn! :) Love ya Tune! Thanks!

A Monday update ...

I had asked Bart to come over to talk after work on Friday. He came over, we talked, and he invited me to come and stay at his apartment for the weekend. He was very happy to see that I was doing much better, and I was happy to be doing better.

Socrates and I packed our bags (okay, I packed some food and a toy for Socs) and off we went.

Socrates barked a lot at every noise he heard, and person he saw out the sliding glass door that he kept his eye on. He's not use to seeing that many people, and hearing doors close, and people walking above. He was good nonetheless though. I went to see my sister Saturday morning. She opened her store the day before, so I was there right after she opened on Saturday. She was surprised to see me up and out so early! (I had been up since 4AM!) Brenda's store is SO nice! I spent $40 and came home with some really cute things ... one being a candle that smells YUMMMY! Of course I have a wish list made for future visits! :)

It was nice being with Bart ... it was nice getting away and finally being able to think! I actually read a magazine for the first time in I don't know how long!!! I was able to sort things out, put my life into some kind of perspective. I did figure out that I do NOT want to move out of the townhouse. Sadly, staying there isn't an option as it's going on the market to be sold! Bart kept saying, "I wish you would have said that a couple years ago when I wanted to buy it". Yup, me too!
