A girls day out .... just what I needed
Finally Casii and I went on our much needed day out. We had been doing an awful lot of talking, but no doing .... until today. We went to the lovely town of Lucketts to an antique store. We were obviously there to look at antiques, but somehow we turned it into a total adventure in itself!!! Not only did we come up with names for each other to fit our trip and accents as well as lifestyles we suddenly developed, but we did several booths a GREAT favor by accessorizing the mannequins and arranging the vintage hats to bettter show them off (after finding matching clothing to go with). And yes of course, I don't think a hat went untouched in the whole place!!! (I SO wanted those two, okay three ... but I was being good!)
Leave it to Casii to leave with scrapping supplies! She bought this adorable beaded "Creative" sign, an old ice tray to store embellishments in (whoda thunkit?), 2 things that look like old bookmarks but have the days/months of the year on them that would be great for cutting up/altered art, a Halloween postcard, and 2 sheets of large printed wrapping paper with great playing card & sampler graphics on them.
I was a very good girl and only purchased a rather hefty yet very cool jeweled pen, and the wrapping paper with the vintage lady playing cards. I bought Casii a much belated birthday gift of a jeweled pen, and her favorite and ever will be treasured NEVER USED Shuttlecocks!!! :) On top of her scrapbook findings Casii walked away with this adorable pink hat and hilarious magnet that says "I stopped jogging because my thighs kept rubbing together and setting my pantyhose on fire." Hey, sounds like a good reason to me!!! :)
All in all is was a much needed fun day out! Casii is always such a blast to hang out with, I don't know why we don't do it more often!
